WHY: I've become a huge Rick fan ever since trying on one of his leather jackets. The almost savage look of some of the pieces reminded me of prehistoric times, but in a good way. Especially the gloves with the fur at the tips, and the fur trimmed vest. The textures and shapes always keep the collection interesting and fresh. Of course, his signature layering was at play and it looks just as effortless as it always has. As someone who tends to like lots of details (seams, buttons, snaps etc.) on clothing, I always look to a Rick Owens collection for its minimal take on design (which when viewed up close isn't necessarily so minimal). The true details always emerge in the construction. Below are my fave looks.
